After your long day spent at Traverse City’s most beautiful attractions, unwind in the hot tub, hang by the fire, or enjoy some down time in the cabin. Brand new furniture, high-speed internet and a Picture Frame Smart TV will welcome you with the feeling of luxury. Rise Retreat backs up to thousands of acres of state-owned land which is open to the public. The cabin sits just 50 yards from off road/snowmobile trails - great for riding, hiking and exploring. We encourage guests to bring your off-road toys and enjoy this area, while keeping in mind that others will be doing the same. Expect to have dirt-bikes, ATV's, side by side's, snowmobiles, etc. driving by throughout your stay. The state land is also open to hunting and recreational target practice, so you may hear corresponding noises from those activities during your stay. Take advantage of this amazing location! Just a short commute to: * Long Lake Beach and Boat Launch - 5 minute drive * Moomer's Homemade Ice Cream - 11 minute drive * Downtown Traverse City - 20 minute drive * Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore - 25 minute drive * Interlochen Center for the Arts - 13 minute drive * Downtown Lake Ann - 7 minute drive The cabin was thoughtfully designed as a peaceful couples’ getaway, but we can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests with the additional queen bed in the loft. Please note that the loft ladder is steep and may not be suitable for young children or anyone with limited mobility. We recommend that children only use the loft under direct adult supervision.
